SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
Why do I need a pest control service in East Texas?
Extermination professionals have the proper training and certification to get rid of pests that spread diseases, cause home damage, and cause emotional distress, including mosquitoes, ticks, termites, carpenter ants, cockroaches, and bed bugs.
Most East Texas pest problems cannot be thoroughly controlled without years of pest control experience. The products available for purchase at your local hardware store just aren’t as effective as our integrated pest management techniques that safely use professional products and also take pest behavior into account.
What products does Hopper's Pest Control use?
We combine modern Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques with a variety of environmentally responsible products. Since each situation — and each pest — is different, we make adjustments accordingly. Speak to our customer service representatives (contact us here) for a list of products used during your service call.
Can I take care of the pests on my own?
There are many pests that are nearly impossible to eliminate without the help of a professional exterminator. Termites, ants, ticks, fleas, carpenter ants, and bed bugs are all among the pests that are extremely difficult and time-consuming to root out of a home without the proper extermination knowledge, equipment, and experience.
How long do your products work?
For up to three months with normal weather conditions, after the application, any bugs, insects, or other pests that come across the area will be exterminated. You can rest easy knowing we are controlling the bugs so you can focus on what matters most to you.
Do your technicians need to come inside my house for each application?
If you sign up for our service agreement, we treat the inside & outside of your home to help root out any pests inside. We will treat inside your home during each routine service unless you request the exterior only during scheduling.
Do you offer free treatments between services if pest activity comes back?
We will reservice the home at no charge if you let us know within 14days of the last service. Call our office at (903) 963-5000 to let us know if you need a re-treat, and we will come back to treat the pests again, free of charge.

Do I need to be home in order for you to service my house?
As long as our technicians have full access to your front and back yard, no one needs to be at home if we are doing a standard pest control treatment of the home’s exterior. However, if you specifically request a treatment of the interior of your home, an adult must be present before our technician can enter, unless homeowners has provided written documentation to Hopper's allowing techs to enter with gate or door codes.
When should I start pest control in East Texas?
Now is the best time to consider hiring Hopper's Pest Control to exterminate pests, because it’s not a question of if, but when the pests will invade the wall voids, the space inside soffits or eaves, gutters, cracks in the siding, and eventually make their way to the house.

Many insects find a warm place to hide, such as the wall voids of your house. They go into a type of hibernation called diapause until spring. Other insects lay eggs that survive the winter and hatch when the weather warms.
Why do I need pest treatments from Hopper's Pest Control East Texas during the winter?
Pests survive the winter by finding a hiding place in your house or by laying eggs that withstand the cold.
At any time during the cold months, the area could suddenly warm up, which will activate the pests. Our winter treatments will catch and exterminate these pests before they can become a problem again in the spring.
